O.L.I. Advocacy, LLC: Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is a pediatric patient advocate? A pediatric patient advocate helps families understand and navigate their child’s medical care. This includes reviewing medical records, preparing for appointments, supporting communication with doctors, and helping parents make informed decisions. At O.L.I. Advocacy, LLC, I provide personalized, compassionate guidance tailored to complex pediatric needs.

2. Who is O.L.I. Advocacy for? I support:

  • Parents of children with complex medical needs

  • Caregivers struggling to navigate the healthcare system

  • Families who feel unheard, overwhelmed, or dismissed by providers

  • Medical moms and medical parents looking for mentorship from someone who's been there

3. How do I know if I need an advocate? If you've ever asked:

  • "Why won’t anyone listen to me about my child?"

  • "How do I make sense of these medical records?"

  • "What questions should I ask at this next appointment?"

  • "I feel lost and alone in this process — who can help me?"

...then advocacy support could help.

4. What services do you provide?

  • Medical Record Review: I analyze your child’s records and help you identify patterns, gaps, or concerns to bring up with your care team. You'll receive a full review within 5 business days of receiving your records, followed by a 30-minute phone, FaceTime, or Zoom consultation to go over my findings.

  • Appointment Coaching: I help you prepare questions, organize info, and stay focused during critical appointments.

  • Emotional Support & Mentorship: For parents who are emotionally burned out or in need of someone who gets it, I offer one-on-one support.

5. How does it work?

  1. Visit www.oliadvocacy.com to schedule an appointment.

  2. Sign and submit the required consent forms 24 hours prior.

  3. Submit any relevant records (for record reviews).

  4. Meet virtually via Zoom, FaceTime, or phone.

  5. Receive follow-up guidance and support within 5 business days of document review.

6. Is this medical advice? No. While the founder is a licensed registered nurse, O.L.I. Advocacy does not provide medical diagnoses or treatment plans. All guidance is educational and supportive. You should always consult your licensed provider for medical care.

7. Do I have to live in Texas to use your services? Nope! My services are fully virtual and available to families across the United States.

8. How much does it cost? I keep my pricing affordable because I know what it’s like to fight for care without financial flexibility. You can find pricing details on my Services page.

9. How do I get started? Click the "Request Support" button at the top of the website, select your service, submit any medical records if review requested, and complete the consents. I’ll take it from there.

10. Why did you start O.L.I. Advocacy? O.L.I. Advocacy was created in honor of Oliana, Oli, my own medically complex child. She has been my greatest teacher in truth, resilience, fierce compassion, and my belief that no parent should ever have to do this alone.

11. I live in a rural area with limited access to specialists or a pediatric hospital. Can you still help me and my child?

Yes. In fact, families in rural or medically underserved areas are some of the people who benefit most from advocacy support. I can help bridge the gap by reviewing your child’s medical records, identifying what’s missing, helping you prepare for limited appointments, and making sure you’re equipped with the right questions and knowledge, even if you only get 15 minutes with a provider. Many families in rural areas struggle with access to specialists, and my job is to help you make the most of what you have, while exploring additional resources that might be available beyond your local reach.

12. What makes O.L.I. Advocacy different?

’ve walked this road myself — as a pediatric nurse and as a medical mom. I know how it feels to be dismissed, unheard, and overwhelmed. I speak your language. I show up with heart. And I will fight with you to be believed.
